Step 1: Start by spreading a thin layer of weatherstrip adhesive on the fender's flange.
Step 2: Lay the welting out & cut to approximate size. Run another thin layer of adhesive across the welting & adhere to straight run. Glue down & tape to hold the welting in place.
Step 3: Bend the welt around the curved section of the fender & it will show you where to notch by buckling.
Step 4: Cut "V" notches at the buckling spots in the welting & around the mounting holes on the fender's flange.
Step 5: Then glue & tape the welting to the fender flange.
Step 6: Now have someone hold the fender up for you while you insert the fender mounting hardware.
Step 7: Cut the welt even with the bottom of the bed. See how nice & finished the welt looks.
