Installing a Oil Cleaner - Page 2 (Incomplete)
"The FRANTZ OIL CLEANER may be installed on any size engine & will effectively clean 8 quarts of oil & up to 10 quarts of oil with more frequent tissue changes. A HEAVY DUTY FRANTZ OIL CLEANER is available for engines with larger crankcase capacities."
ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH BY-PASS FILTERS:
Easily identified by external pressure & return hoses connected to engine. Remove filter & lines. Use same INLET & OUTLET openings for the Frantz Oil Cleaner.
| Circle 1 - RECOMMENDED PRESSURE SOURCE
ENGINES FACTORY EQUIPPED WITH "SCREW-ON" FULL-FLOW FILTERS: Remove the full-flow filter & replace with a Frantz full-flow adapter. Attach pressure inlet line to the adapter. |

| Circle 2 - ALTERNATE PRESSURE SOURCE OIL SENDER UNIT AND PRESSURE GAUGE: Every engine is equipped with a pressure guage line or electric oil pressure indicator attached at the engine block. Install a tee as shown and use as pressure source to feed the FRANTZ OIL CLEANER. |

| Circle 3 - ALTERNATE PRESSURE SOURCE FOR ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH A "BOLT-ON" FULL-FLOW FILTER: REMOVE BOLT-ON FULL-FLOW FILTER CASE ELEMENT - DISCARD THE FILTER ELEMENT. Install Self-Tapping Hallow Bolt into filter case. Attach pressure line to hollow bolt fitting. |

The Frantz Self-Tapping Hollow Bolt Fitting is supplied for attaching the oil return line directly to side of oil pan. Enter oil pan with Self-Tapping Hollow bolt approximately two inches below oil pan flange for MAXIMUM CLEARANCE of the crankshaft cycle. |
