02/01/2011 Sold my 1953 3100 truck last weekend. I don't have any new news as of yet. I may end up buying a 1953 GMC 930 conventional cab semi tractor. I'm currently working out the details with the owner.
12/01/2010 Received some bad news for Christmas this year...the house I'm renting is going into default. So, I'm looking at selling my truck with basically all the accessories I've accumlated over the last 10 years. Things have changed with the slow economy and I'm in need of a big truck....possibly a 1954 - 1959 GMC Cannonball 750 or 970. I would like to keep my 1953 truck, but at this point it doesn't look too feasible.
So, I'm selling the 1953 3100. It currently does not run or drive.Included with the truck:
- 2 pair (3 stripes) of the front fender stainless stripes from the suburban/panel truck
- Original radio (986443)
- Grille guard (986153, 986486)
- 1948 Cadillac exterior sun visor
- Rebuilt 1969 tilt truck column with aluminum aftermarket levers
- 3 extra vent window assemblies
- 2 sets of vent drip rails
- Side mounted spare tire carrier
- Indented fender for spare tire carrier
- Spare tire carrier rim
- 1951 stainless door interior window trim (these are rare, they where the only year offered in s/s in 1951 with the vent window cut-outs)
- 1 set of 1947 - 1950 stainless interior trim with notch cut-out for vent window
- 1 set of exterior windshield stainless trim
- 2 sets of exterior door stainless trim
- 1 NOS Teleoptic fog night with mounting brackets
- 1 NOS pair of step plates (986328)
- 1 pair of EZ eye (green tint) corner windows
- 1 NOS chrome tissue box holder
- 1 bottle type jack (unknown if year correct...looks correct)
- 1 stainless hood emblem
- 1947 - 1954 Truck Factory Assembly Manual
- 1948 to 1951 Truck Shop Manual
